Pink Goes Red
JOIN US....MAKE IT YOUR MISSION TO FIGHT HEART DISEASE IN WOMEN! Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. This means women just like you - mothers, sisters, friends - are dying at the rate of one per minute. In fact, in the time it takes to read this, another woman will die from heart disease. It simply does not have to be that way. At the American Heart Association, we work every day to fund research and fight this killer so more women can be saved.
Earn, Save, Prosper 6th - 8th Grade Financial Workshop

Students participate in hands-on activities that focus on career choices, budgeting, saving, and investing their future incomes. This event is free and open to church and community youth groups, boy/girl scout troops and any other organization that works with youth in grades 6-8.

Girl Power

A fun and interacive workshop to inspire confidence, individualism, and ambition in middle school girls. This event will empower and focus on 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls to foster positive self-images, peer relations, and leadership. This event serves as the kick-off to our Emerging Young Leaders (EYL) program. Applications to our Emerging Young Leaders (EYL) Program are accepted from August through mid September.

Women Build
Habitat's volunteer program for women who want to learn construction skills and build homes and communities. Women Build together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. Women Build events have helped to construct more than 1,900 houses.
Race for the Cure

Did you know that every 3 MINUTES a woman is being DIAGNOSED with breast cancer?  Or that BLACK WOMEN are more likely to DIE from this disease?

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is Saturday, June 11th at Meredith College in Raleigh. This year, we are inviting area AKA chapters to participate with Sigma Tau Omega as “THE TRIANGLE AKAs” team. We would like to join forces and take a united stand against this disease by participating as ONE TEAM. Join the team by clicking HERE.
