Hello and welcome to the website of the Sensational Sigma Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®! The Sigma Tau Omega Chapter has been providing service to Cary and Western Wake County since June 1990. We are a growing and vibrant chapter with a heart for service to our local communities.

Since 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha has partnerned with local communities, regional and international organizations to provide service and solve problems. The Alpha Kappa Alpha International Program theme for 2018-2022 is Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service. It is more than a theme, it is a call to action to service our communities in a greater way. The international program includes five program targets and a signature program that are designed to advance the mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha with excellence and underscore our commitment to sustainable service. The signature program is #CAPSM, College Admissions Process. This program is designed to assist students in their efforts to enter college by providing a hands-on approach to researching colleges and completing the application progress. The five program targets are listed below:

HBCU for Life:

A Call to Action

The Arts!

Women's Healthcare and Wellness

Building Your Economic Legacy

Disaster Relief

For more information on these program targets visit www.aka1908.com.

Locally the Sigma Tau Omega Chapter will achieve the international program theme by Excelling in Sensational Sisterhood and Service. We will continue to join hands as sisters to excel in making an impact in our local communities.

Feel free to look at our website and follow us on social media to gain more insight on our sensational work in the program target areas.
